Chocolate Chip Cookies (Toll House)

Ingredients
2 1/4 | cups | flour | |
1 | tsp | baking soda | |
1 | tsp | salt | |
1 | cup | butter | room temperature |
12 | oz | chocolate chips | |
3/4 | cup | sugar | |
3/4 | cup | brown sugar | |
1 | tsp | vanilla | |
2 | eggs | ||
1 | cup | nuts | chopped (optional) |
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 °F. In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt then set aside. In a stand mixer, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla extract and beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Gently mix in chocolate chips. Drop dough balls onto an ungreased sheet pan. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
