Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients

4 McIntosh or Granny Smith apples peeled and sliced
1/2 cup light brown sugar firmly packed
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Toss together the first four ingredients in a large, zip-top plastic bag, tossing to coat apples.
  2. Cook apple mixture, water, and butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat, stirring ocassionally, 8 to 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
