Cream Candy

Ingredients

3 lbs white sugar
1/2 pint heavy cream
8 Tbsp warm water
1/2 stick butter
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Directions

Let come to a full rolling boil. Add half a stick of butter a little at a time so as to not stop boiling. Test a little at a time in cold water (to hard ball stage). Pour onto marble slab. Pour on at least a tablespoon of pure vanilla extract. Let cool enough to handle. Pull and cut.

This recipe is very tempermental. Good luck.
