Lasagna
Ingredients

3/4 | lb | ground beef | |
3/4 | lb | ground pork | |
3/4 | cup | onion | finely chopped |
1 | clove | garlic | crushed |
1 | tsp | parsley | |
2 | cups | water | |
12 | oz | tomato paste | |
1/2 | tsp | pepper | |
1 | tsp | salt | |
1 | lb | mozzarella cheese | thinly sliced |
1 | lb | cottage cheese | |
1/2 | cup | parmesan | grated |
Directions
Cook the lasagna according to the directions on the side panel. Meanwhile, cook the ground beef and pork in a large, heavy saucepan until the color just changes. Add the onion, garlic, parsley, water, tomato paste, pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil. Then, turn the heat low and let simmer gently for 30 minutes. In a greased 15½" × 10½" × 2½" baking pan arrange first a layer of drained lasagna and then the alternating layers of the other. End with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Over this sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese. Bake in a 350 °F oven for about 20–25 minutes or until the mozzarella is just melted.
