Lasagna

Ingredients

1 lb lasagna
3/4 lb ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork
3/4 cup onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic crushed
1 tsp parsley
2 cups water
12 oz tomato paste
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 lb mozzarella cheese thinly sliced
1 lb cottage cheese
1/2 cup parmesan grated

Directions

Cook the lasagna according to the directions on the side panel. Meanwhile, cook the ground beef and pork in a large, heavy saucepan until the color just changes. Add the onion, garlic, parsley, water, tomato paste, pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil. Then, turn the heat low and let simmer gently for 30 minutes. In a greased 15½" × 10½" × 2½" baking pan arrange first a layer of drained lasagna and then the alternating layers of the other. End with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Over this sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese. Bake in a 350 °F oven for about 20–25 minutes or until the mozzarella is just melted.
