Spice Christmas Cookies

Ingredients

1 1/2 | cups | sugar | |
2 | Tbsp | corn syrup | |
2 | tsp | baking soda | |
1 | Tbsp | water | warm |
1 | egg | ||
3 | Tbsp | cinnamon | |
2 | tsp | all spice | |
3 | cups | flour | |
1 | Tbsp | almond extract | |
powdered sugar | |||
milk |
Directions
- Dissolve baking soda in warm water.
- Cream together butter, sugar, 1 Tbsp corn syrup, baking soda/water mix, and egg.
- Add cinnamon, all spice, and flour.
- Chill 2 hours
- Roll and cut out.
- Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes.
- Mix remaining corn syrup, almond extract, powdered sugar, and milk into a thick but drizzlable icing.
- Ice cookies when they are cool.
